Bałtyk Tower
I bet many Poznań inhabitants do remember the legendary Bałtyk cinema, located at the corner of Bukowska and Roosvelta Streets until late 2002. That place is currently occupied by new, recognizable buildings of our city: the Sheraton Poznań hotel and the "Bałtyk" Business Service Center, surrounded by a common space filled with trees and plants, both on the ground level and on the terraces.
We have now completed another year of maintenance work at the Bałtyk facility. During the season, we focused on combating hornbeam rust. This unfriendly splat could lead to the deterioration of the health of the trees located here as well as inhibition of the growth of new shoots. Thanks to the applied prophylaxis, we ruled out mite feeding and maintained the condition of the bushes at the desired level. Carrying out maintanance work on terraces, requires steeping over the and delicate sedum shoots. The extreme caution and specialized actions of our employees allowed us to achieve the desired effect and the sedum plants fulfill their role, even at the height of the 14th floor. The main square is, a series of proud Honey locust trees, providins a mild shadow where passers-by enjoy a moment of rest in summer. Due to the difficult location and strong winds blowing in this place, we took care of the tree crowns. Pruning was aimed at minimizing teh bowing of trees. Green crown will look great against the background of the building after the crown formation treatment is done. It is one of the many beautiful places in our city that we care about, and we are proud that we can contribute to keeping them in such condition with our knowledge and work.
